I still have a few questions...

How many customers do you have?

A.     We work for over 500 companies.

What actual, real-world, experiences do you have?

A.     Ron and Ed and Rich, who you'll meet later, have many years of competitive bidding experience in private and public work. Remember, they were both employed as chief estimators for several construction firms before joining forces at Walsh Estimating.

How do you guarantee your work?

A.     We don't! What? You heard right. We are not a bonding company. We guarantee our work up to the amount you paid for the estimate--and that's it. If you are uncomfortable with this, please do not hire us.

The contractor has the final responsibility for
completeness and accuracy in the preparation of his bid.

Having said that --We promise to do the best job we can. If we don't, we won't be in business very long. Call any of the references. Still in doubt? Call us! We will fax you our entire customer list.

But I'm afraid I'll miss the "gut feel" of the job by not doing all the takeoff myself?

A.     You will miss it! That's why you need experienced people who supply more than "raw" numbers. We add comments to our quantities that communicate the "gut feel" that you miss by not doing the whole takeoff yourself.

I do all my work on a Lotusª spreadsheet. Will I have to re enter all my data?

A.     Not at all! – Besides our laser printed reports, we will be glad to supply your data in just about any computer formats you require. Excel, Lotus, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, etc. IBM or Macintosh media, 3.5" or 5.25" disk –or modem and Internet ftp transfer.

But how much does it all cost?

A.     Most of our work is on an hourly basis. We also quote lump sum prices after we review the plans. You can use the following formula as a guideline for a complete earthwork takeoff:

Sounds great! -- I have a job for you now! -- How do I get started?

A.     That's easy! Call (800) 448-1167 or email us at info@walshestimating.com, to discuss your project - or just send us your plans . . . . And be working on them in the morning.

You'll be glad you called!
